Betty A. Warfield, 87, passed from this life Tuesday, July 28, 2015. Born in Pickering, Ontario, Canada she was the daughter of the late Elvin and Louise (Puckrin) McLennan. Betty was a co-owner along with her husband Clarence “Bud” Warfield of the Bates & Anderson Funeral Service in Hudson, NY. The funeral home continues today under the direction of the Warfield family.
Betty moved to Bradenton, FL in 1980 and to The Villages in 2008. She enjoyed golf in Bradenton and in The Villages along with playing cards. She was of the Methodist faith and attended Lady Lake United Methodist Church. Betty was predeceased by her husband Clarence “Bud” Warfield in 1998 and by her twin sister, June Fredenburgh and sister Donna McLennan.
She is survived by three sons, James M. Warfield of Bradenton, FL, Dean K. Warfield of Hudson, NY, Peter W. Warfield of The Villages, FL, four grandchildren, Joseph J. Warfield, James M. Warfield, Jr., Lindsey Warfield, Carleigh Warfield, one great granddaughter and a brother, Murray McLennan of Oshawa, Canada. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Lady Lake United Methodist Church 109 W. McClendon Street, Lady Lake, Fl 32159. Burial will be held at a later date in Ghent Union Cemetery, Ghent, NY.
