Bicyclist dies after head-on collision with car in Pasco County

A 57-year-old Dade City man riding a bicycle died after being struck by an automobile at 8:40 a.m. Saturday in Pasco County.

Joseph Neal Hancock was riding on Lake Iola Drive when he was struck by a car driven by Desiree Michelle Nathe, 20, of Dade City, which had been cresting a hill while traveling in the opposite direction of Hancock’s bicycle, according to an arrest report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The two collided head on.

Hancock died at the scene of the accident. He had not been wearing a helmet, the report indicated.
