Buffalo Adventures after-school employee won’t be prosecuted in child cruelty case

A 56-year-old man arrested after an incident in the Buffalo Adventures after-school program at The Villages Charter School won’t be prosecuted in the case.

Denny Day of Wildwood was arrested Sept. 1 by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies. Video showed that Day had pinched and kicked students, according to information from the sheriff’s office.

Day was suspended by the school in the wake of the arrest.

Last month in Sumter County, the prosecutor’s office announced that no information would be filed in the case and it was being dismissed.

Day was represented by attorney Jaimie Washo.
