The 180 golfers can all take a deep breath, and have a cold drink, as the hard part is over.
After two days of a heat index of over 100 degrees the second day of qualifying at Palmer Legends Country Club, and Glenview Country Club is in the books. The 12 low scores, from the blue tees, have all been named captain, and will select the Villages Country Club that they will represent Thursday at La Hacienda Recreation Center at 5 p.m. Â
After selecting their country club name they will, in a snake type draft, select 13 other players for their team.

Joe Elder who was the comeback story of the qualifying. He was 9 over par for his first 9 holes of the 36 hole qualifier and played the final 27 holes in 3 under par. He is a prime example of never giving up.
