Car plunges into bar at Sonny’s at Lake Sumter Landing

Five people were transported by ambulance after a car plunged into Sonny’s BBQ in Lake Sumter Landing on Tuesday evening.

The vehicle left the roadway and plunged into the popular outdoor area of the restaurant on Canal Street.

Three people who had been at the bar and two people who had been in the car were transported from the scene by ambulances.

The Florida Highway Patrol has taken over the investigation of the accident.

Let them keep the fence!
