Leo Carter, who recently turned 90, got a hole-in-one on Monday, April 10 at Silver Lake Executive Golf Course hole number 8. He had been playing with the Largo men’s group. It was Carter’s seventh hole-in-one, but his first in The Villages.

Villager Barbara Mattingly got her first ever hole-in-one on March 30. She’s been golfing for just nine months. Her ace came on the fourth hole at Tarpon Boil Executive Golf Course, but she wasn’t done yet. Playing in a four-person scramble, she pitched her husband Bernie’s drive into the 9th hole for an Eagle.
