Ed commented: “Just wanted to thank, first of all, everyone in the league for making me feel so welcome and comfortable playing in the CFL. That great feeling of “family” is very strong to me and  that’s most important to me. Secondly,  thanks to my teammates on Fross & Fross. To me, this is a really a team award. I didn’t know Joel Beason personally, but have heard how courageous he was playing while he was so ill. Also how competitive he was (in a good way). And, I’m sure, a good teammate. Most important to me, and the one I hope people think of me is being a good teammate- supportive, non-critical , and doing the best I can. Lastly, I realize it’s my ( our) responsibility to always  make the “new” player feel welcome, which certainly, the CFL community does… Thanks again.”
