CenturyLink upgrading equipment along Buena Vista Boulevard

CenturyLink will be upgrading equipment that provides voice, high-speed internet and Prism TV in certain areas in The Villages.

From now through the end of the year, they’ll be working at the equipment by the post offices and the smaller devices closer to the homes.

The complete upgrade will include taking fiber to the homes for any customer wanting to upgrade their services or become a new CenturyLink customer.  However, there are about 350 of the total 10,000 homes that will need to be converted to the new system first and our local retail store will be helping coordinate with the customers .

The general area that is being upgraded is between Highway 42 and CR 466 in the communities along Buena Vista Boulevard.

If you have any questions, please contact the local retail store, located near Target (by Moe’s) just off of Hwy 441. The engineering and operations teams are working closely with them and are taking names for anyone wishing to upgrade their services after all the work is completed.
