Already in place near the site of the memorial and program is the Field of Flags. Individual flags honor the lives lost on 9/11. The flags were put in place by Lady Lake Boy Scout Troop 244 and will be up until after the day after the program.

There is no seating at the Memorial for the program; event organizers recommend bring a folding chair if you need to sit during the program. Typically the program draws an audience of about 300.

The 9/11 Memorial which honors all those that lost their lives on September 11, 2001 was dedicated in October 2011. Since then the 9/11 Day of Remembrance Programs have been held there; previously the programs were held at the Veterans’ Park in Spanish Springs.
