Clayton Scott Monthony

Clayton Scott Monthony passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the age of 77. Born on June 19, 1937 in Corinth, New York to Harry and Sylvia (Silsby) Monthony. He retired from General Motors before moving to Leesburg, with his loving wife Shirley Monthony. He is survived by their children: Mickey (Diana) Monthony; Joe (Cindy) Monthony; Laurie (Dennis) Sidebottom; Rob Monthony; Sandy Gagliardi; and Andy (Becky) Monthony. He is also survived by his siblings: Sarah Monthony; Joanne (Vincent) Antinore; James (Lolita) Monthony; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents, loving wife Shirley, and a son Jon Denae Monthony. A memorial service celebrating his life is planned for 2:00 p. m., Saturday, November 1, 2014, at Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Downtown Leesburg, Florida, Rev. Steve Hulsey will serve as Officiant. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to: Cornerstone Hospice Foundation, 2445 Lane Park Road, Tavares, FL 32778.
