Club Car golf cart stolen from parking lot of hotel in The Villages

A gas-powered 2000 Club Car golf cart was stolen last week from the parking lot of the TownePlace Suites hotel in Spanish Springs.

A 69-year-old man who lives on the Historic Side of The Villages left the burgundy-colored golf cart for about an hour Sept. 22 in the hotel’s parking lot, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

The golf cart has gold striped curtains and is valued at about $2,000, the report indicated.
