Cold weather forces termination of races on Saturday at Ashland Pond

The Villages RC Model Boat Club hosted their annual Soling 1M Regatta this weekend in very testing and cold conditions.

“Saturdays racing was terminated after lunch due to a very rare Florida condition…. the record COLD,” said Villager Alan Perkins who coordinates the events

Sunday dawned still cold but the Northerly very blustery wind of Saturday had abated to a lighter and warmer breeze.
