A suspect in a flashing case at Colony Plaza shopping center has been arrested in Lake County.

John Daniel Aspinwall, 33, of Fruitland Park, had been placed on the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office’s “Most Wanted” list following the incident in late October.

A woman told deputies that she came out of the Beall’s store and walked to her vehicle only to discover she had car trouble. She spotted a man sitting in a nearby PT Cruiser and walked over to ask him for help. That is when he allegedly exposed himself.

The woman shouted at the man that she was going to call law enforcement and he drove away.

She later identified Aspinwall out of a photo lineup and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

He was picked up by Lake County deputies on Friday. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $500 bond.
