Commissioners in Lady Lake poised to rollback tax rate

Lady Lake leaders who had to increase the millage rate a few years ago after a dispute with the Florida Department of Revenue are poised to bring back down the town’s tax rate.

The current millage rate is 3.5510 mills. The  proposed millage rate is the rollback rate which is 3.3962 mills.

“This will be the second year in a row that we were able to decrease the millage rate by going back to the rollback rate,” said Town Manager Kris Kollgaard.

The tax rate will be formally adopted in September.
