Congressman Nugent to speak to Villages Republicans Thursday evening

Congressman Rich Nugent will be speaking at a joint meeting of the Villages Republican Club of Sumter County and the Republican Club of the Villages of Marion County on Thursday at the Savannah Center.

Nugent, former sheriff from Hernando county was sworn into Congress on Jan. 3, 2011 to represent the 11th Congressional District of Florida. He has co-sponsored 29 pieces of legislation including but not limited to repeal of Obamacare, Fair Tax, Balanced Budget, Elimination of Automatic Pay increases for Congress, military surviving spouse equity, disabled veteran tax termination and repeal of the death tax. He opposed the Bush bailout and the Obama stimulus. He will speak on a number of “hot topics” in Washington.

All Village Republicans and Independents are welcome to attend.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for refreshments and socializing.
