Cook arrested after brawl in kitchen at Denny’s restaurant in Ocala

A 40-year-old cook was arrested after a brawl in the kitchen at a Denny’s restaurant in Ocala.

Andrew Christopher Mims of Ocala is facing a charge of battery following his arrest Thursday night at the restaurant located on SW 20th Street.

Mims and another man were in the kitchen arguing about incorrect orders when Mims, who is 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighs 235 pounds, charged the other man, according to an arrest report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

A witness spotted Mims on top of the other man. The incident was also captured on video.

Mims was booked at the Marion County Jail on $1,000 bond.
