Cornerstone Hospice’s CEO named executive committee chair of Florida Hospice & Palliative Care Association

The Board of Directors of Florida Hospice & Palliative Care Association elected Cornerstone Hospice’s President and CEO Chuck Lee as its executive committee chair at its Feb. 15 meeting in Tallahassee.

“I am honored and excited to serve as Chair of FHPCA’s Executive Committee this year. Having served as Internal Vice Chair last year, I was inspired by the teamwork and leadership of the committee to take on this new role serving hospice organizations across Florida,” Lee said.

Before joining Cornerstone Hospice as president and CEO in 2013, Lee had more than 11 years of executive-level hospice experience. Lee holds a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Loyola University. He earned his Master of Arts at The George Washington University, and his Master of Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Lee has also completed an extended internship in Clinical Pastoral Education at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola and he is a Permanent Deacon in the Roman Catholic Church, assigned to St. Patrick Parish in Mount Dora.”  Lee’s previous role on the Executive Committee was Public Policy Committee Chair, which he vacated to fill the role of Internal Vice Chair.

FHPCA is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization representing Florida’s hospice programs. The mission of FHPCA is to assure excellence and access to hospice care, and advocate for the needs of those in the final phases of life. As a FHPCA Hospice Provider Member, Cornerstone Hospice has a voting seat on its Board of Directors. The Executive Committee officers are Board Members that have been elected by the Board of Directors.  Executive Committee officers serve one year terms and can be elected for three consecutive terms.

Beckwith, Hope Healthcare Services; Secretary: Cathy Blanchard, Emerald Coast Hospice; Treasurer: Jaysen Roa, AVOW; Immediate Past Chair: Susan de Cuba, Treasure Coast Hospice; Committee Chairs: Chair, Public Policy Committee: Dave Fielding, Trustbridge; Chair, Quality Committee: Pauline Taylor, Hospice of St. Francis; and Chair, Research & Development Committee: Mary Linn Hamilton, Hospice of Indian River & VNA.
