Couple arrested on drug charges with three-year-old in back seat

A Lady Lake man and Leesburg woman were arrested Thursday afternoon on drug charges while a three-year-old child was in the back seat of their vehicle.
Florida Highway Patrol pulled over a bright pink Chevrolet truck at 1:52 p.m. on State Road 44 approximately 1.5 miles east of State Road 93. The vehicle was clocked at 69 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone. When pulled over, the trooper noticed the odor of marijuana. A search of the vehicle turned up marijuana. The female driver, Christina Eve Eliscard, told troopers she had drugs concealed in her body. Later at the jail, a search of her body cavities turned up approximately 5 grams of cannabis wrapped in a plastic bag, and approximately 2.5
grams of cocaine also wrapped in a plastic bag.
She and her male companion, Jarvez Shermon Kizer of Lady Lake, now face charges including marijuana and cocaine possession, drug equipment possession and cruelty to a child.
