A couple with an admittedly “eyesore” driveway is pinning their hopes of resolving their stalemate on a Community Development District 6 workshop next month.
Mike Tedesco and Geri Vitale who own a home on Beachwood Street, say the Architectural Review Committee granted them permission to add on to their garage, but then turned around and refused to grant them permission to extend a driveway from the garage at their Premiere home in the Village of Bridgeport at Miona Shores.
Now they are stuck with a driveway that they readily admit is bringing down the neighborhood.

On Thursday, Community Development District 6 supervisors agreed to hold a workshop on driveway extensions at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday Sept. 29. Tedesco and Vitale, who reside in California as they are preparing to move to The Villages, were represented at Thursday’s CDD 6 meeting by a relative and their contractor.
The Architectural Review Committee had suggested that CDDs 5 and 6 hold a workshop session to discuss driveway extensions.
With two members – Gerald Ferlisi and Gary Kadow – absent from Thursday’s CDD 5 meeting, supervisors opted to put off the decision on a possible workshop until next month.
