Daily Sun sales manager accused of manipulating system to illegally boost her commissions

A longtime employee of the Villages Daily Sun was arrested after she allegedly manipulated the company’s computer system to boost her sales commission.

A warrant was issued earlier this month for Grace Mimm, 42, of Belleview after it was discovered that she had used her administrator access to the company’s Circulation Department computer system to boost her commission by using a “Best Deal in Town” code, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

During the month of May, Mimm was found to have altered 34 accounts earning her $244.80 in fraudulent commission. In June, records indicated she altered 37 accounts earning her $266.40 in fraudulent commission.

She was terminated from the Daily Sun.

Mimm was taken into custody on the warrant on Aug. 17 in Levy County. She was booked at the Levy County Jail. Bond was set at $5,000.
