David Sprague

David M. Sprague, Sr., age 82, of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Abington, MA, went home peacefully to the Lord surrounded by family and friends on March 9, 2017. He was the son of the late Carl and Frances (nee Wellner) Sprague.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol (nee Avery), his children David M. Sprague, Jr. (Debbie) of AZ, Peter Sprague (Charity) of MA, Mary Borden (James) of FL and Timothy Sprague of CA as well as his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Dave was an active volunteer of the St. Vincent DePaul Society food pantry in Abington and the VA clinic in Leesburg. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus St. Paul’s Council #5644. He had a great interest in sports and especially enjoyed golf in his retirement.

Visitation will be held at Beyers Funeral Home in Leesburg on Tuesday, March 14 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg on Wednesday, March 15 at 8:30 a.m. with Father Gianni Agostinelli Celebrant. Interment will be held at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
