David Maxwell

David Maxwell, 84, of The Villages passed away Friday, April 18, 2014. He moved to this area in the late 90’s from Independence, MO. David was very active in music and played in The Villages Concert and Swing Bands. Music was the center of David’s life; he began playing the saxophone at age 7. He was an amazing man, wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his son, David B. Maxwell.
He leaves to cherish memory his loving wife of 26 years, Brenda Maxwell; children, Laura (J. W.) Bullock, Donna Wilson, Eric (Joan) Maxwell, Wyette (Betsy) Spotts, Ed (Susan) Spotts; daughter-in-law, Fran Maxwell; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Arlene Vrooman, Lois Collins, Doris Turlo.
In lieu of flowers the family wishes memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society or Cornerstone Hospice.
The family will celebrate David’s life by receiving friends from 1 – 3 PM Saturday April 26, 2014 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages
