The de facto Republican puppeteers

Rich Sobieray
Rich Sobieray

On one side of the ledger, there is George Soros, the grand puppeteer of the Democratic Party. On the other, there are the brothers Koch who are puppeteers for the Conservative/Libertarian Right.

The question is…is this a war between good and evil?

Where are the similarities?

  • Both are extremely rich and use their wealth to promote their personal agendas through complex webs of foundations, corporations, political action committees and other non-profit entities hoping to reshape public policy according to their own ideology.
  • Like Soros who began his history as a Nazi sympathizer, the father Fred Koch had investments in oil refineries in Nazi Germany and Stalinist Russia. Today, Soros brands all of his enemies as Nazi’s while Fred Koch hated communism.
  • Like Soros who made losing bets on Gore and Clinton and numerous Congressional races, The Koch’s made losing bets on both Republicans who ran against Obama and lost money supporting RINO’s who depended upon the swamp.
  • Both are Globalists, albeit seeking differing outcomes.
  • Neither supports Trump…because Trump doesn’t need their money.
  • Both advocate economic freedom for Latinos…Soros thru immigration; Koch thru funding education initiatives and job training.
  • According to Morning Joe Scarborough (MSNBC), the Koch Brothers support more than conservative causes. They opposed George W. Bush on many issues, are pro-choice, support same-sex marriage and worked WITH the Obama Administration on criminal justice reform.
  • Soros and Koch’s are described as business leaders and philanthropists.
  • Neither likes to give their money to government. Like most who “donate,” we like our write-offs.

What are the differences? (I used an article by Bill Moyers to describe the differences as he defines them…not as he sees them.)

  • The Koch network, according to Bill Moyers, is little more than a self-serving corporate front. Moyers fails to give credibility to the 120,000 jobs (careers) worldwide that Koch Industries supports. Soros supports no jobs other than his hedge fund managers and those of the many community activists that he finances.
  • Greenpeace argues that their financing of special interest groups has a strong focus on fighting environmental regulation, opposing clean energy legislation and easing limits on industrial pollution. Most of Koch Industries is involved in energy, chemicals and commodities. Soros would support Clinton’s initiative to put the coal miners out of work.
  • According to Bill Moyers, “The National Committee for Responsive Philanthropy argues that it is not surprising that philanthropic giving directed by the Koch Brothers often goes to non-profit organizations that do research and advocacy on issues that impact their profit margin.” Soros would argue, of course, that the government should be the arbiter of wealth redistribution…except his.
  • Moyers further describes the Koch network as a secret bank for a network of far-reaching and unrivaled complexity led by the shameless Americans for Prosperity. Of course, Moyers plays blind to Soros’ Open Borders Society and the maze of non-profit organizations designed to disrupt what Soros considers a repressive regime…the United States.
  • And so on…the net is full of negativity on both sides. See Rolling Stone’s “Inside the Koch Brothers Toxic Empire”.

GOOD and EVIL is in the eye of the beholder:

  • As with our politicians, are we simply sheep supporting the lesser of two evils?
  • Wars are always fought by sheep. Is a civil war necessary to decide which is good or evil?
  • Would either be a philanthropist if their benevolence was not tax-deductible?
  • Would either be a philanthropist if they were unable to direct their benevolence?
  • How many activist groups that they support, i.e. Americans for Prosperity, Open Borders Society, Move-0n.org, Media Matters, Tides Foundation, Freedom Partners, and Black Lives Matter etc. would exist if each had to function as a corporation that pays taxes?
  • Both are hypocrites in their exhaustive use and abuse of the tax code…while publicly extolling their hollow positions on freedom, smaller government, equality on all levels, human rights,  etc.
  • Should Soros and the Koch’s have this much power?
  • Pick your poison!

A Solution:

Demand that the first changes to the tax code be a complete overhaul of the non-profit designations which have morphed from “social good” to unions, activists, fraudulent webs of money laundering on a scale that would probably reduce the national debt by 50 percent. Stop being sheep! We taxpayers are paying for their crusades. Until then, Soros is still the most evil… in my opinion…by his own words…and actions, but we would be far better off without either one.
