Denis M. Renaghan

Denis M. Renaghan, age 78, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017. He was born in Somerville, MA on August 16, 1939.

Denis graduated from Hingham High School. He served in the U.S. Army. He lived in Billerica, MA for 30 years. During his life Denis worked as a Computer Programmer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Registry of Motor Vehicles.

He moved to The Villages in 2003. During his retirement Denis enjoyed golfing. He worked for the Mallory Country Club as a Starter. Denis was a member of American Legion # 347 and was a Life Member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks # 2071.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Joan Renaghan of The Villages, FL; brothers Mark, Joseph and Phil; sisters Mary and Dorothy. He was preceded in death by a brother Kevin and a sister Martha.

A visitation will be held at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd, The Villages, FL 32159 on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 3 – 5 p.m. A celebration of life with military honors will also be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
