Dennis John ‘Skip’ Anderson

Dennis John “Skip” Anderson, 71, Leesburg, FL, passed away on April 21, 2017 at The Villages Hospice House under the loving care of his wife and staff of Cornerstone Hospice. Mr. Anderson was born on July 7, 1945 in Duluth, Minnesota to his parents Donald and Lillian Anderson. Skip was retired from the Duluth, Messabi & Iron Range Railroad with over 29 years of service as an Electrician. He and his loving wife moved to Leesburg from Duluth, Minnesota in 1998 and were members of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Leesburg, Florida. He was a Veteran who served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Moose Lodge of Leesburg, Florida. He was an avid fisherman who loved to fish.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years: Terry Anderson of Leesburg, FL; a son: John T. Anderson and wife Jennifer of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; two daughters: Jennifer Anderson-Clark and husband Bill of Duluth, Minnesota and Trisha Mangan and husband Michael of Cochranville, Pennsylvania and nine loving grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved brother, Donald B. Anderson.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Leesburg, FL.
