Deputy recognizes habitual offender behind wheel of vehicle on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Lady Lake

A 33-year-old woman with a history of arrests was taken into custody Monday afternoon after she spotted behind the wheel of a car.

Brandi Woodard of Leesburg was seen driving a vehicle north on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Lady Lake, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy was aware that Woodard’s license was suspended and pulled over the vehicle she was driving. In addition to being arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended, she was arrested on a charge of possession of drug equipment. During a search of the vehicle, three hypodermic needles. Woodward told the deputy she used the needles for the consumption of heroin.
