Development planned on 268 acres on CR466 across from Spring Arbor Village

A conceptual plan for the 269-acre Meucci property at County Road 466 and Cherry Lake Road will soon be the subject of a public meeting.

The Town of Lady Lake has tentatively scheduled a meeting at the Oct. 10 Lady Lake Planning & Zoning meeting that convenes at 5:30 p.m. at Lady Lake Town Hall.

The first reading before the Lady Lake Commission will tentatively occur on Nov. 7.  That meeting starts at 6 p.m., also at Lady Lake Town Hall.

The property is located across from Spring Arbor Village.

A conceptual drawing shows plans for commercial development, medical buildings and what appears to be 21.6 acres for “senior” development.

The property is currently pastureland.

Little is known about the proposed development, said Mayor Ruth Bussard.

But she said it could bode well for the town.

“We are seeing a lot of development,” she said. “And that’s good for the tax base.”
