District Office releases information about trash collection over Labor Day weekend

If you live in the Marion County, Sumter County (excluding the Village of Fenney) or Fruitland Park portions of The Villages, you will not have sanitation or recycling collection on Monday, Sept. 4. If this is your normally scheduled day, you will have collection on Saturday, Sept. 2. Residents are asked to have their bags out no later than 6 a.m.

If you live in the Sumter County portion of The Villages south of State Road 44 in the Village of Fenney, you will not have sanitation collection on Monday, Sept. 4. Collection will occur on your next normally scheduled collection day.

If you live in the Lady Lake portion of The Villages, please contact Waste Management at (352) 787-4416 for your holiday sanitation collection schedule. If you live in the unincorporated portion of Lake County in The Villages, please contact Lake County Solid Waste at (352) 343-3776 for your holiday sanitation collection schedule.
