District reveals cost for engineering study which prompted change at gate in The Villages

An engineering study which prompted a change at the gate at the Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter cost $3,860. The figure was revealed Friday during a meeting at the District Office.

The Kimley-Horn & Associates Inc. study, presented earlier this month to the Project Wide Advisory Committee, has prompted action that will be aimed at improving the line of sight for motorists coming in and out of the Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter.

The study, which included field work, presentation to PWAC and a technical memorandum, can be viewed at this link: Bridgeport at Lake Sumter study

The study is being paid for by PWAC.

Village of Bridgeport at Lake Sumter residents had pleaded with supervisors to make changes at the gate in the name of safety.
