Division Four Has Donated $11,400 to Local Food Banks

-Jerry Saltness reporting

Division Four Recreational Softball Food Drive

Twice a year Division 4 conducts a food drive to support the local food pantries.  These food drives are conducted in conjunction with our end of season tournament.  Our food drive is called “Cans or Cash” in which our players, spouses and fans can donate non perishable food items or cash.  Our first collection was the Spring Season of 2012.  This year is our fifth effort to help local families and our most successful event.  Appoximately, thirth-five cases of food and $3,115 were donated to the Wildwoold Food Pantry during the opening ceremonies of the Division Four Tournament Championship Game.  Pictured (left to right) is Jim Kipp (President of our Board of Directors), Don Huggins accepting the check on behalf of the Wildwood Food Pantry, and Jerry Saltness, food drive coordinator.  To date Division 4 players have contributed over $11,400 to local food banks.
