Donald Robert Johnson, 78, of The Villages passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Mr. Johnson was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and moved to The Villages from North Carolina in 1997.
Donald proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Don retired from Norton Company in 1995, after 36 years of service as a regional distribution manager. He was a member of St. TImothy Catholic Community. His passion was playing golf and he loved playing softball in The Villages. Don’s greatest achievement was his family.
Donald is survived by his son, Daniel Johnson, Dayton, OH; three daughters, Laura Hollamon, Medina, OH; Kathleen Anderson, Mt. Dora, FL; Lisa Hester, Medina, OH; 13 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services – The Villages with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
