A driver died early Monday after being ejected from his vehicle on Interstate 75 in Hillsborough County.
Michael Eric Wedden, 47, of Gibsonton was driving a 2004 Jeep Wrangler northbound on I-75 near milepost 240 when his vehicle departed the roadway for unknown reasons, according to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report. The vehicle overturned on the shoulder of the road and Wedden was ejected from the vehicle, the report stated.
Wedden died at the scene of the accident.
The FHP report indicated it was not known if he had been wearing a seatbelt.
