The driver of a Signature Coach van was arrested early Tuesday morning on a charge of driving under the influence.

A Lady Lake police officer had spotted the van speeding on U.S. Hwy. 27/441, just after midnight.

The driver of the van, 58-year-old Gary Wayne Sigmon of Summerfield, told the police officer he had just dropped off a passenger, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The officer asked Sigmon if he had been drinking and Sigmon said he had not. He failed field sobriety exercises.

He later provided breath samples that registered .195 and .199 blood alcohol content.

A cooler was discovered in the van and it contained a bottle of McCormick Vodka.

Sigmon was booked at the Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $1,000.
