Driver with suspended license arrested after cutting off Lady Lake police officer

A 53-year-old man with a suspended license, was arrested early Sunday morning after cutting off a Lady Lake police officer.

John A. Jones of Ocklawaha had been at the wheel of a Chevy pickup at 1:42 a.m. Sunday when he pulled into the path of the police officer on Avenida Central in the area of Rio Grande Avenue. During a traffic stop, Jones admitted his license was suspended. A check by the officer revealed multiple suspensions.

Jones was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $10,000 bond.
