A driver with a Mexican identification card was arrested after a traffic stop at the Village of Fenney.
Eduardo Jimenez Serrano, 33, of Summerfield, at about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday had been driving a black Ford F-150 pickup in the area of County Road 505 and Fenney Way when he failed to stop at a stop sign, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
When he was asked for his driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance, Serrano handed the officer his Mexican ID card.
A check revealed previous driving-related offenses. Serrano had been arrested in 2007 for operating a vehicle without a valid license and in 2013 for driving while license suspended.
Serrano was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. He was released after posting $1,000 bond.
