A 48-year-old Plant City man was arrested on drug charges this weekend after he was pulled over on County Road 466 at Southern Trace in The Villages.
Michel J. Diguer had been driving a convertible with an expired temporary license plate when he was pulled over at 7:55 a.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. The temporary tag had expired on Jan. 11.
The deputy determined that Diguer’s license had been suspended on Aug. 13. Diguer was also wanted on a Hillsborough County warrant charging him with failure to appear.
Three metal narcotics pipes were located in the center console of Diguer’s vehicle. The pipes contained a green leafy substance which tested positive for the presence of synthetic cannabinoid.
He was arrested on a charge of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug equipment. He was issued a written warning for driving with an expired tag and issued a citation for driving while license suspended.
He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
