Driver without license arrested on State Road 44

A 26-year-old man with no driver’s license was arrested Thursday night after he was spotted in a vehicle on State Road 44.

Felipe Duran Ibarra, who lives in Wildwood and was born in Mexico, was pulled over shortly after 9 p.m., according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

A check revealed that Duran Ibarra has never obtained a driver’s license in Florida or any other state. He has no criminal history.

He was arrested for driving without a license and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $500.
