Duke Energy says power to be restored by Sunday ‘at the latest’

Duke Energy says power will be restored to customers in Lake, Sumter and Marion counties by Sunday “at the latest.”

More than 1 million Duke Energy customers in Florida lost power as the result of Hurricane Irma.

Duke Energy said it has increased the number of resources and has mobilized about 8,000 lineworkers, tree professionals, damage assessment and support personnel.
