Edwin Herbert Donaldson, age 88 went to be with our Lord Tuesday October 7, 2014. He and his wife Dorothy were longtime residents of the Villages. He loved his friends and life in the Villages. Edwin graduated from Denby High School in 1944, joined the USAF, and then graduated from Lawrence Tech with Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1950. He retired from Ford Motor where he was a senior project engineer designing transmissions. He enjoyed many of the activities here softball, tennis, golf. Ed played clarinet in the symphony, and was active in the Michigan Club. He enjoyed traveling the world including Russia, Europe and especially China. Edwin is survived by three children Brian, Thomas, Diane Devincent and nine grandchildren. The Family welcomes friends to celebrate Ed’s life at Beyers Funeral Home in Lady Lake. Services will be Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
