The new El Santiago Recreation Center remains on pace for its anticipated December opening.
The exterior of the building is receiving final trim work and the landscaping will begin next week, according to District officials.
The contractors are completing the heating/cooling and electrical systems. The permanent electricity will be turned on this week so all systems can be tested. The interior finishes continue to be installed.
The recreation center is being built on the site of the former El Santiago Club restaurant. The Amenity Authority Committee is funding the construction.
