Elaine G. Johnson, 78, of The Villages, Florida, passed from this life Monday, October 6, 2014. Born in Manistee, MI she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elaine (Racine) Peterson. Elaine was a bookkeeper and worked in insurance, manufacturing and education. After living in Japan and the Philippines, she settled in Ohio, where she spent 27 years in Avon Lake. In 2003, she moved to The Villages from Sheffield Lake, Ohio. Elaine enjoyed knitting, cross-stitching, bowling and golf. She was most proud of her marriage to her husband Dane of 60 years and her family. She leaves her husband, Dane K. Johnson, Jr., sons, Dane K. Johnson (Denice) of Fairview Park, Ohio, Robert L. Johnson (Lisa) of Newport News, VA, four grandchildren, Dane K. Johnson, Jennifer Fahrion, Derek Johnson, Tyler Johnson, and 3 great grandchildren, Carter, Lucas and Amelia. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Elaine’s memory may be made to a charity for Alzheimer’s family support or research.
