Elaine M. Jurkofsky, age 70, passed away Friday May 26, 2017 in The Villages, Florida. Elaine was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada and in 2005 she moved to The Villages after retiring from Alabama, where she was a Medical Technician and Medical Office Manager with Internal Medicine Associates. She was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in the Villages and she loved her family, friends, spending time with her four grandchildren, and teaching line dancing at the square.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years Frederick; sons – Bryan F. (Deanna) Jurkofsky of Montgomery, AL; and David F. (Maria) Jurkofsky of Lake Worth, FL; brothers – Randolph (Flo) Murphy of Conception Bay, Newfoundland, Canada; and David (Constance) Murphy, of Hurst, Texas; and four grandchildren.

A funeral mass is scheduled for Friday, June 2, 2017, 8:30 a.m. at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, The Villages, Florida. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at the Page-Theus Funeral Home, 914 West Main St., Leesburg, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the International Myeloma Foundation, 12650 Riverside Drive, Suite 206, North Hollywood, California 91607, USA.
