Eleanor Lorraine Wagner, 80, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Wednesday, March 15, 2017.Born in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Eleanor (Klein) Scanlan.

Eleanor was a registered nurse. She spent much of her career as an industrial nurse for Alcoa Inc. of Richmond, Indiana.

She and her husband Fred came to The Villages in 1999 from New Madison,Ohio.

Eleanor enjoyed crossword puzzles and golf. She and her husband Fred were members of the Guys & Dolls Golf Club.

Eleanor leaves her husband of 47 years, Fred Wagner; daughter, Marla Lee Wagner; son, Mark F. Wagner, both of The Villages, FL; niece, Brenda Lee of Eaton, Ohio; grandson, Jacob Lee; granddaughter, Samantha Lee; brother, Jay Scanlan, and sister Mary Margaret Specht both of Chicago, IL.

The family will receive relatives and friends at a visitation to be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages, FL from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Eleanor’s memory to Cornerstone Hospice – The Villages Hospice House, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
