Entries sought for Italian American, Oktoberfest parades in The Villages

The Resident Parade Committee is accepting applications from clubs in The Villages for both the Italian American and the Oktoberfest parades.

The Italian American parade is scheduled for Oct. 6 and the entry deadline is Sept. 11. Contact Maureen Curran by email at flagator57@hotmail.com or by phone at (352) 633-1905 for an application for the Italian American parade. Any other questions contact Frank Truglio at (519) 698-5306.

The Oktoberfest parade is scheduled for Oct. 20 and the entry deadline is Sept. 18. Contact Joan McDonald by email at joanmcdonald555@comcast.net or by phone at (352) 259-2524 for an application for the Oktoberfest parade.  Any other questions, please contact Kirk Freundt at 350-6533.

The resident parade committee will meet and review each application and make their decision. All clubs interested in participating in the Italian American parade must have submitted their applications by Sept. 11. If they are selected, they will be notified by Sept.15. All clubs interested in participating in the Oktoberfest parade must have submitted their applications by Sept. 18. If they are selected, they will be notified by Sept. 22.

Motorized vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles) and horses are prohibited.
