Eugene “Gene” N. Hoose age 78, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away Thursday December 29 in the presence of his loving family. Gene was a native of Flint Michigan, and was born July 19, 1938 to the Late Homer W and Dorothy Nagel Hoose. He retired from the Grand Trunk Rail Road in Flint Michigan in 1989 and was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was avid member of the Pennbrooke Fairways Golf and Billiard Clubs, a member of the AM VETS Post 2006 and American Legion Post 219 Fruitland Park, FL. Gene last worked as a courier for Quest Laboratories, Florida, Leesburg, FL.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Nancy Sue Hoose, son Anthony Hoose , and his wife Cassy of Leesburg, Florida, son Jerry George of Linden, Michigan, and his wife Patty, daughter Linda George and her husband, Tom of Bradenton, Florida, Four grandchildren ,Amanda, David, and his wife Gina, Mary, Kevin and three great grandchildren Easton, Connor and Maddie.
He was grampa to many in his extended family.
Inurnment services will be held at a later date in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell , Florida . Graveside honors will be provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard, and officiating clergy, Rev. Joseph Ferreira.
