Event staff is doing a great job

To the editor:

My wife and I want to thank the Spanish Springs event staff for doing a good job with rules enforcement at the Italian Festival. We observed them asking folks to keep the aisles clear, not sit where it isn’t allowed, and generally watching over the event in a helpful manner. It was a good feeling to see them taking action that in the past was lacking. We also appreciated the public service announcement that clearly stated saving seats is not allowed. It will take some peer pressure to help the staff but we see things headed in a good direction this year. Our concern is when many return for the winter who don’t understand the rules, there will be issues. Our hope is the staff will continue to enforce square rules throughout the winter season.
