Softball’s Fall 2014 opening day less than two weeks away

-Sal Riggio reporting/photos

Up North, car trunks are being packed for the return trip to The Villages.  The Fall 2014 Villages Softball Season is around the corner.  Many players are healing from procedures done during the break trying to time perfectly readiness for Opening Day.  Gloves are being oiled.  Bats checked for cracks or any excuse to buy a new one.  Many players go down to the fields just to say “hello!” and to check out the field conditions visualizing the coming big hits and great plays.  The Senior Boys of Summer will once again be in action soon.
