A 47-year-old Lady Lake man was jailed after he told police that armed men had broken into his home on Palm Street in Lady Lake.

Alexander Christopher Wilson is facing a charge of filing a false police report.

On Saturday, he allegedly told police that two armed men forced their way into his home and demanded $300. When he said he did not have the money, the men took the keys to his 2014 Nissan Sentra, Wilson reportedly told police.

Meanwhile, Tavares police pulled over the vehicle. Lake County sheriff’s deputies also responded to the traffic stop.
