Hundreds of families welcomed Old Saint Nick on Saturday morning to Lady Lake at the annual Christmas Parade.
More than 100 floats, vehicles, and marching groups paraded down Old Dixie Highway tossing candy to excited children.
Crowd favorites included the Villages Twirlers & Drum Corps, the dozen or so members of Clown Alley in full costume, and the Villages Precision Golf Cart Drill Team. The Leesburg High School marching band provided lively holiday music as they marched in front of the bright red sleigh carrying Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Local dignitaries including Lady Lake Mayor Jim Richards and the Lady Lake commissioner rode down the route in classic cars. They were preceded by color guards from American Legion Post 347, Marine Corps League and law enforcement.
