Fire destroys home in Village of Lynnhaven
Flames shoot from the roof of a home on Livingston Loop in the Village of Lynnhaven.

Fire destroyed a home Wednesday night on Livingston Loop in the Village of Lynnhaven.

Fourteen units from the Villages Public Safety Department responded to the blaze.

Chief Edmund Cain said it has not been determined what started the fire.

One person was at home when flames erupted.

The home, located near the Churchill Street Recreation Center,  is a total loss, he added.

An eyewitness said the fire quickly spread to the garage and added that firefighters were hosing down nearby residences in an effort to keep the blaze from spreading.
